UESCA Specialization Courses are a shorter, but more in-depth educational journey on specific topics that provide coaches specific skills and tools, and help them better work with or educate their athletes.
The UESCA Sports Psychology Specialization course by clinical psychologist, Dr. Justin Ross, takes a deep dive into all areas related to performance psychology as it pertains to endurance sports. Some areas discussed in the course include mental imagery, flow and clutch state, race day skills, goals and motivation, self-talk, mental burnout, and more.
Physiological Adaptations to Endurance Exercise is a specialization course created and designed to provide coaches and athletes with a deeper, fuller understanding of the many physiological adaptations that occur within the human body in response to endurance training. It delves into what we know scientifically about how all of the systems adapt.
The Freestyle Stroke Form and Correction course is ideal for coaches who work with swimmers and multisport athletes, or for swimmers and multisport athletes themselves. Brenton Ford presents a proven practical approach and methodology that has been used by the best swimmers in the world, designed from the perspective of the coach.
The UESCA Running Event Race Director Specialization course discusses all of the areas you need to know to put on and direct a running race. It was created in partnership with race director, Mandy Mullen, the founder and owner of run.Windsor race series, a running race series based out of Windsor, Colorado.
