Running was something I fell in love with immediately when I began. That being said, training error lead to injury and frustration. My Exercise Science degree provided me with understanding of training principles and where I went wrong and my Physical Therapy degree provided me with a good understanding not just of rehabilitation, but PRE-habilitation. I became a coach to help people find joy in the sport. I wish to help people run in a healthy way, allowing them to reach goals with reduced injury risk and frustration from being sidelined.
My coaching philosophy is based around three principles: Longevity, Inclusivity, and Accountability.
Longevity: There are a lot of difficult things that we can do throughout life if we do them correctly. My goal is to tailor training programs to create a strong foundation in all runners so that they can enjoy and stay healthy in the sport for a long time.
Inclusivity: everybody can run and every BODY can run. I am here to praise all runners and help people meet their goals in the sport, without judgment.
Accountability: The best way to develop yourself as a runner is consistency. As your coach, I am here to hold you accountable to your goals. I will stay in tune with your ups and downs, and I will work with you to keep you moving in the right direction.
