I live in the Akron-Canton area. I am a mom of 3 kids and a sweet golden retriever. I am employed part-time as a Nurse Practitioner. I was not an athlete growing up but picked up running after having my second kid. I purchased a treadmill to walk on to get in shape postpartum. Started with walk/run and remember how awesome I felt the first time I was able to run a mile without stopping! I also remember googling how far a marathon was and thinking it seemed impossible!
I now run nearly everyday and have participated in a countless number of races of several distances.
I believe running is a lifelong sport and that can be achieved when you balance it with your everyday life. I value open communication to ensure your busy schedule is being respected while also giving you the motivation you need to reach your potential.
I know running is more than just running. From my own training, I have learned the importance of nutrition (both in training and racing), rest, strength and mental health. There is so much value in bringing those aspects together in order to get you to the start line healthy and feeling strong.
I also believe you are never too old to learn new things and accomplish something great. Consistency is key!
