About Kim

My personal running experience includes everything from 5ks to 100k. I’m a frequent age group winner and sometime overall winner.

Some of my unique running experiences include qualifying for and running the Boston and Chicago marathons (I will also be running NYC in 2023), the Disney Dopey Challenge, a 66.6k treadmill ultra, and various running camps and retreats.

I enjoy involvement with local and online running groups. I’m more of a road runner mostly due to convenience. I love trails when I can get to them, and most of my ultras were on trails!

In short, I love running.

Coaching Philosophy

I look at each of my athletes as a whole person, not just a runner. I try to fit running into their lives, rather than the other way around. The feedback I most often get from clients is that I am supportive and caring, and that I am motivating without shaming my athletes when life gets in the way and they slide off the tracks a little. I have a life, too - it’s all about adjusting to it, and carrying on!

I am a big believer in mindful running. We often rely too much on data, losing awareness of our own bodies. Most of my athletes learn to run at least partly by feel, vs trying to constantly hit a specific pace. While we work towards immediate or short term goals personal to each athlete (a new distance, a PR, etc), my long term goal for each and every one of my clients is to create or reinstate strong, injury resistant bodies, and a hopefully lifetime love of running.
