I grew up in a military family and spent time in the Air Force. While my experiences around the world with the military were valuable, throughout that time, I adopted a habit of over-indulging in alcohol that was quite destructive. I left alcohol behind in 2009 and found a new healthy habit - running in the mountains. I've always been active outdoors from white water rafting, to climbing, to mountain biking. I found a new passion in trail running and captured several first place finishes in half marathons and extended to ultra marathons throughout the years.
I believe that mindset and perspective are powerful tools alongside training to put you in the position for success. I have focused for many years on how to use mindfulness to over come limiting beliefs and properly reframe challenges into learning experiences. Along with a focus on mindset, I also partner with a strength training coach and Couchmilk, which is a community network, to support my athletes in as many ways as possible. These resources, plus my past knowledge and experience, plus my UESCA training, all combine to provide a well-rounded coaching program that I am excited to share with you.
