1-3 years
I've been running (for running's sake) since 2009 when I signed up for a half marathon on a whim. After that, I walked onto the D1 team at school and fell in love with the 5k. After moving to CO, I ventured into trail & ultrarunning and have run multiple 50Ks since (doing my first 50M this year!),
My favorite distance to coach is the 50k, especially an athlete's first 50k, however what matters most to me in the athletes that I coach is how we get along. Coaching doesn't work without open communication and trust between athlete and coach.
Sustainable Growth
Sustainability is at the core of my coaching. Training should fit into your life, not the other way around. #trainsustainably
Along with sustainability is a focus on long term growth. I want you to be running for a long time (assuming you want that as well).
Enjoyment
You won’t always enjoy training, but overall my goal is for you to enjoy the process on our way to your goals. If you’re not enjoying it, why are you even running?
Data Informed
A training plan should be data informed, which includes both hard data (pace, HR, etc) and subjective feedback (how you feel).
Connection & Communication
Coaching is a relationship that requires connection and communication. The best results come from mutual trust and open communication.
