I didn't start running until I turned 40 years old, and after a few half-marathons and marathons, I started racing much longer distances, from 50K to 200+ miles. To date, I raced more than 30 ultramarathons of 100 miles or longer, on mountains, deserts, roads and loop courses on timed events, including some of the toughest races like Badwater 135, Moab 240 and Tahoe 200. My love for the heat ignited a passion to learn anything heat related in endurance, from acclimating/acclimatizing, to managing hydration/nutrition and core temperature, and performing at your best in the heat.
I believe in creating individualized plans for athletes that takes into consideration not only the running part, but also the lifestyle, the stress at work, the family responsibilities and anything else that makes us unique individuals. I communicate a lot with my athletes and I'm always willing to tweak their plans based on things that might come up in their lives. I put a lot of focus on mobility and strength work, good nutrition and consistency. Your plan and your race strategy should be easy to follow, and something that you enjoy doing, based on the time you have available to train and the things you like to do in your life. Whether you're preparing for your first ultramarathon or your 10th, I can guarantee you that I'll be there every step of the way supporting you with everything you need to be successful at your next race!
