Running has been a part of my life since I was young. It has taken me to so many AWESOME places, provided so many experiences, opportunities, and friendships that I otherwise - would not have had. On my journey to qualifying for the Olympic Marathon Trials, I had several elite starts - Boston Marathon, Grandma's Half Marathon, and Chicago Marathon - where I placed 3rd Master's Woman and earned my spot on the start line at the Olympic Marathon Trials. This changed my life forever! I have a true passion for the sport, and I love to share this with other athletes through coaching.
When I start working with a new athlete, I start them where they are currently and progress them effectively towards their goals using proven training strategies. Every athlete is different. Therefore, so is the approach to training, nutrition, and reaching their goals. I custom write all my athletes plans and adjust as needed. I am available to my athletes and find that those who communicate with me more, are the ones that get the most out of their training. They ask questions to understand, and that facilitates conversations that solidify the coach/athlete bond. I am a firm believer in strength training which is one reason I named my business - Strengthen Your Stride. It can be needed link to mitigate injury or enhance performance.
There is no greater reward than you knowing you were part of helping someone become the best version of themself!
