I've been an endurance athlete for more than 35 years - mostly variations of running and biking. I love doing it and want to share that with others. I've worked both on my own and with coaches, making my fair share of mistakes but also being overwhelmed at what any of us can do if we put our minds to it.
I was never a particularly skilled athlete, but I can be single minded. I am not fast or strong, but persistence makes up for that in the long run.
I a full time massage therapist, routinely working on athletes. So I can help you through many physical issues with a catalog of stretches.
My training approach is tailored for you, they are not a cookie cutter plans. We will spend time getting to know each other, discussing where you are today and where you want to go as an athlete; your history as an athlete, familiarity with running, weight training, stretching, nutrition and of course racing. Together we will develop goals over the current race season and beyond.
My training plans are presented in 2 week blocks. I do not lay out a "calendar style" training plan, instead, I prioritize the importance of each run and let you (or if needed, help you) schedule your own week with a few general guidelines. I'm available by text or email for minor questions, phone calls once a month or for pressing matters.
