Since my first triathlon in 2003, I have competed in over 50 races of all distances, from Sprint to IRONMAN and XTERRA. Throughout my triathlon career, I have coached myself by continuously researching successful training methods and educating myself by reading about the latest practices and techniques. I’ve lived and trained all over the country (CA, TX, VA, TN, HI, NV). I retired from the Navy in 2016 and wanted a job that I was passionate about and endurance sports is definitely that passion! I love bringing people into the endurance sports lifestyle and helping them achieve their goals.
I match coaching to the level of the athlete. If they want to use a HR monitor or power meter or just RPE, I will adjust workouts accordingly. The most important thing is to fit training into the athlete’s time available to train so it is a stress reliever, not a stressor. I like to collaborate with my athletes and find out what they like and don’t like so it is enjoyable.
