About Amanda

My time as a swimmer, runner, and elite triathlete has allowed me to learn from various coaching styles and apply that to how I coach today. I believe it's possible for athletes to balance everything in life and create a training process they'll actually look forward to. Most importantly, I listen to my athletes' needs so I can create actionable steps to help them reach their goals (whatever that looks like).

Coaching Philosophy

I believe that when it comes to training, there's no one-size-fits-all strategy. That's why, when it comes to creating a training process, I use an athlete-centered approach. Before I start working with each athlete, I take into account their schedule (work, family, social commitments, etc.), athletic background, current health, history of injury(ies), and goals.

And, I place a heavy emphasis on education and preparation. I aim for race day to feel like a celebration of the work athletes have put in leading up to the race and for them to stand on the starting line knowing they've done the prep to succeed.

I believe that all goals are worthy (from finishing a race, to chasing a PR, to qualifying for a championship) and I'm honored to support and celebrate all the small wins along the way. It truly is possible to find joy in sport and reach your goals without rearranging your schedule!
