About Sarah

I started running 13 years ago at the age of 33, and run all distances from parkrun to 100+ mile ultramarathons, and pretty much everything inbetween! I like to combine my love of travel with running, but am equally happy running endless laps of a track. I’m very process orientated, and whilst I love racing, I love nothing more than the process of training for a key race. Some of my running highlights include races as diverse as 4th female at Spartathlon, 2nd female at GUCR, 129.6 miles 24 hour PB, 3:10 marathon PB and 18:54 5k PB.

Coaching Philosophy

I work with runners of all abilities and from all backgrounds, the only thing I ask of them is to bring commitment, enthusiasm and passion to help them achieve their goals.

I believe the key to a successful coaching relationship is communication; I always aim to know individuals as ‘people’ as opposed to just ‘runners’, so that I can ensure their training completely fits around their lifestyle.

I want runners to enjoy their training above and beyond everything else, PBs and placing well in races are nice, but we ultimately want to love the process of training, whatever the end goal is. Running should be a joy and in a world where many people are unable to run through illness, injury or life chances, then we should celebrate every run we do!
