I love spending time outside, whether that’s seeking my limits as a trail/ultra/mountain runner, eating chocolate croissants to my best ability while ski touring, or just casually hiking around with my baby and a coffee (usually #3 of the day). I’ve somehow completed over 40 ultra marathon races so far, and have been super lucky to have some success (and plenty of juicy failures) as a runner, with experience running for Team Canada in 50-mile trail and 100km road events. Over my 20+ years of running, I've been lucky to have distinguished coaches to learn from.
I started coaching in 2022 after I had my baby, as it was a big transformational life event that made me want to spend my limited time on things I was deeply passionate about. I'd done some coaching stints in the past, such as planning a teenage girls' intro to trail running weekend in 2015, but I'd never formally pursued it until that moment. Now that I'm coaching athletes professionally, I'm loving every minute of it.
My goal and process is to take an extremely customized approach for my athletes' development, knowing that each person has unique needs, a different lifestyle, and unique priorities and schedule. I want to know my athletes goals, and feel fully invested in them. For more information, check out my website! https://aliciawoodside.com/coaching/
