Besides coaching, I'm a former history/poly sci instructor who likes to also paddleboard, snowshoe, etc. Life is about new experiences and seeing what you can accomplish. I love to set goals for myself, and help others to achieve theirs.
I strongly believe that a coach plays multiple roles including education and instruction of a particular sport, and also as a cheer leader who rallies around when things are tough. I work hard to give my athletes my very best, and expect that same from them. One of the most critical aspects is good communication, keeping each other in the loop and assessing progress toward goals for either adaptation or continuation on a set path. I also believe in transparency, being genuine and establishing a good working relationship. I coach how I would want to be coached, from the initial meeting to finish line and recovery. All such aspects and characteristics are necessary to help athletes define and work toward their goals.
