1-3 years
I've built up vast running knowledge over the years and attribute my successes to good quality and consistent training which is enjoyable and stimulating. I've developed my skills on the road, trail, fell and ultra running. I love there are so many running opportunities out there and that it such a friendly and varied sport. I feel very lucky to find a sport I really enjoy and one that I've excelled at.
Long term my aspirations are that I continue to develop further, there is always more to learn, and that I continue to have the freedom and good health to keep doing what I love.
I believe no two athletes are the same in their personality, response to different training stimuli, to time and geographical constraints. Getting an athlete physically prepared requires a tailored approach that adapts to frequent athlete feedback, demands of daily life and evolves with their future aspirations. Coaching should also support the mental side of training and racing by building confidence and tackling perceived limitations. Good communication is key between a coach and athlete to achieve great results.
