I love road running! Although consistent and proper training of the sport did not materialize until 2019 at 40 years young, I always loved the feeling of freedom that running provided me as a child. My favorite distance is the marathon, and I have been becoming fitter and stronger with each training build. I have come to understand how important it is to have a solid group of professionals working as part of your core athletic team. As an endurance athlete, I expect a lot out of my body, so food and nutrition are a large part of my comprehensive program.
As an endurance athlete myself, I understand the physical stresses and demands required for the body to perform optimally. Nutrition certainly plays a driving role in supporting the body's systems that will fuel your performance. I like to view nutrition from a science point of view, and help athletes of all levels with optimizing their nutrition and nutrition timing at all phases of their training cycle - from the prep phase to after their competition cycle is over.
Focusing on nutrient-dense foods for sports nutrition is also important to support athletic recovery, strong immune systems, and anti-inflammatory responses.
