After three years off of running and primarily doing strength training, I decided that I would run my first ultramarathon in nine months. At the time, I couldn't run two consecutive miles without stopping and I was engaged in habits that did not support a running lifestyle. I did not let this deter me, as I believed I had the drive to accomplish what I set out to do. I had signed up for a 30-hour race with the goal of doing 30-miles minimum, as we could stop at any point. I went on to run 45-miles in under 13 hours…
Long story short, you can achieve anything you set your sights on.
