About Robert

I'm a sports enthusiast who enjoys the thrill of competing in any sporting event. Over the last decade, I've completed numerous marathons, duathlons, and triathlons at both half- and ironman-distance events and continue to have the motivation and desire to seek the next challenge. In recent years, I've taken a deeper-dive into the sports science side of sport and training, incorporating new experiements (e.g. low-intensity training, heat training) into my seasonal training plans in order to find efficient ways of constantly improving. Motivation and constant learning are the keys.

Coaching Philosophy

Have you ever thought that sport doesn't have to feel like an obligation? Instead, it can be something motivational, sociable, and deeply fulfilling. For me, that's what sport is - a lifestyle. This is a unique, coaching perspective that I try to instill and encourage in both current and future athletes that I have the pleasure to coach. My vision is that sport doesn't need to always be about massive goals, high-intensity or having stiff muscles after every training session. It should be about relative, relevant and realistic goals that bring pleasure, enjoyment, and satisfaction to yourself and provide you with a more active, healthier lifestyle. For me, it's not just about crossing the finishing line, it's about the huge effort we put in and sacrifice we make to get there.
