Based in Asheville, NC, I coach intermediate and recreational runners online and in person. My adult running journey began almost twenty years ago and evolved from casual cross training through half marathons, adventure racing, and eventually ultramarathons. That progression taught me firsthand how smart, structured training transforms not just race performance but overall fitness and quality of life. Today, running occupies a place of balance between training and adventure — and that perspective shapes how I coach every athlete I work with.
Great training isn't just effective — it has to be enjoyable. Working hard without finding joy in the process is unsustainable. I believe every athlete deserves a training experience that challenges & excites them in equal measure, because that's what keeps you showing up run after run.
That starts with individualization. No two runners are built the same or respond the same way. I build plans around you — your body, your schedule, your goals — & adjust based on how you actually respond to training, not how a generic program assumes you will.
Strength training is also non-negotiable. A precision-targeted, minimum effective dose integrated alongside progressive mileage is the difference between a runner who gets injured & one who keeps improving. My background as a physical therapist assistant, personal trainer, & kettlebell coach brings a person-first approach to every plan I create.
