About Hernán

I've spent more than 20 years crossing finish lines and exploring the science of movement through my other passion: calisthenics. As the founder of C7 Calisthenics Project, a leading high-performance fitness center in Ecuador, a master in sports psychology, and a certified running and endurance coach, I create intelligent training plans built on empathy and communication. I train both the body — through strength and movement — and the mind for high performance. Beyond coaching, my greatest pride is being the father of a future marathoner and mountaineer.

Coaching Philosophy

My coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that true performance is not built on miles alone, but on purpose, technique, empathy, and human connection. I believe in science-based training that is also personal and athlete-centered — where active listening, discipline, motivation, and collaboration turn every session into an experience of growth. Trusting yourself, enjoying the process, and discovering what you are truly capable of: that is the essence of the journey. Running is one of the most transformative experiences in the world, and I am here to help you fall in love with it.
