Hello! My name is Danielle Henty, and I am a passionate runner, yogi and former gymnast. I am a master's athlete competing in distances from the mile to the marathon, and am still hunting down PRs! I know what it's like to chase goals and exploring the limits of potential, and I love working with athletes to help them reach their competitive edge. I am in Seattle, WA but coach athletes across the country. I have two kids, a dog and my family and I love to wander the mountains and the city on the weekends. We love to travel, and have our own matrix for rating pizza.
While I appreciate those who can run fast, I most admire those that work hard. I am someone who is dedicated to the process and not married to an outcome, and I run with a sense of wonder, joy and curiosity. I also believe that running alone won't get you to the finish line healthy – strength, mobility, proper nutrition and hydration as well as a healthy amount of rest are the biggest boosters of performance.
Working together throughout the week will be a mix of easy miles, long miles, fast/effort miles, some strength/mobility and prescribed rest. We will strategically map out a plan that is geared toward your goals and race calendar. My coaching style is science-backed and data-driven, however I believe that the mind and body work best when working in harmony. Mindset and intention make the difference every day, and together we will work to strengthen your mental game before workouts.
