I've always loved testing my limits. As a kid, I spent an entire recess running laps just to see if I could, then ended up so dehydrated I landed in the doctor's office. Lesson learned! Today, I channel that same drive into ultra running with a smarter approach. I started Ascent Ultra Coaching to help athletes train with purpose, build resilience, fuel properly, and discover what they're truly capable of. Let's chase big goals together.
I believe the best coaching is built on trust, communication, and science, not ego. Every athlete is different, so there is no one-size-fits-all training plan. My approach combines evidence-based endurance training, strength work, proper fueling, recovery, and injury prevention to help you become a stronger, healthier runner for the long term. I coach using effort (RPE) because your body, not your watch, knows what it needs each day. Success isn't just about crossing finish lines, it's about building confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love for the process. We'll train hard when it matters, recover when it's needed, have fun along the way, and keep moving forward together.
