About Julian

I'm Julian Crooknorth, founder of P4M Coaching and a UESCA Running Coach, Level 2 HYROX Performance Coach, Strength & Conditioning Coach and Precision Nutrition Master Coach. I help busy adults prepare for marathons, half marathons and hybrid events with personalised coaching that brings running, strength, nutrition and recovery into one clear plan. My approach removes the guesswork while fitting training around work, family and life. Whether you're tackling your first event or chasing a personal best, I'll help you arrive prepared, perform with confidence and make sustainable progress.

Coaching Philosophy

Effective coaching should make training clearer, not more complicated. The best programme delivers the right challenge at the right time and fits your life.

I combine running, strength, race-specific conditioning, nutrition and recovery in one personalised plan, shaped by your ability, goals, schedule and capacity to recover—not a generic template.

I coach the person as well as the athlete, helping you build confidence, resilience and an understanding of why each session matters. You receive structure, honest feedback and accountability, with training adapted as your fitness and circumstances change.

Whether success means completing your first event, setting a personal best or performing consistently across a season, my aim is to help you arrive prepared, perform confidently and make sustainable progress—without sacrificing your long-term health or enjoyment of training.
