About John Antony

With a background in Physical Education, personal training, and strength and conditioning, I have a strong interest in helping runners become fitter, stronger, and more confident. My coaching approach combines structured running, progressive strength training, and technique development. I enjoy working with beginners and intermediate athletes and helping them build sustainable habits while progressing toward their individual running goals. I am particularly interested in sprinting, middle-distance, and long-distance running.

Coaching Philosophy

My coaching philosophy is based on consistency, progression, and individualisation. I believe effective running training should be structured according to an athlete’s current fitness, experience, goals, and training background. I use a balanced approach that combines running-specific training with strength and conditioning to help athletes develop fitness, strength, movement quality, and running technique.

I focus on gradual progression rather than doing too much too soon. My goal is to help athletes understand their training, build confidence, and develop sustainable habits. Whether working with a beginner preparing for their first race or an intermediate runner looking to improve performance, I aim to create practical training that is challenging, achievable, and enjoyable.
