Running has been a major part of my life for years, from local road races to more than 20 marathons around the world. I have completed 12 Abbott World Marathon Majors, including Boston, New York City, Chicago, Berlin, London, and Tokyo, and earned the Abbott Six Star Medal. With a marathon personal best of 3:17, I understand the commitment required to train seriously while balancing a demanding career and everyday responsibilities.
My coaching philosophy is built around individualized, sustainable training. Every runner brings a different background, schedule, experience level, injury history, and goal, so I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I focus first on consistency, then gradually develop endurance, strength, speed, and race-specific fitness. Training should challenge an athlete without unnecessarily overwhelming them. Communication is essential, and I adjust training based on how each athlete responds. I also want runners to understand the purpose behind each workout. My goal is not simply to provide a plan, but to help athletes become more confident, informed, and self-sufficient runners.
