Since childhood I have been steeped in a community of movement. Overtime I honed my athletic skills as a soccer player while remaining active in a variety of team and endurance sports. I played DI soccer in college where an interest in strength and conditioning originated as a means for injury prevention and augmented performance. As I continue to evolve in sport, a passion for ultra-running grounded in proper strength training has become my raison d’etre. Running has always been a constant, it is my fitness foundation, but as I grow older, running and strength hold shared import.
I approach movement and fitness with the power of consistency, connection, and confidence. Practicing and coaching consistency, I believe leads to interpersonal connection and self-confidence, and with those many other amazing things inevitably blossom. On a finer scale, I respect the training process and finding a healthy balance with other life demands. Sport training can wind an athlete through stages of growth, learning, and self-awareness – a process that doesn’t cease when a certain level of achievement is attained or when the goal event is completed. It is continual and life enhancing. More specifically I am a strength and running coach grounded in science. I am a firm believer that every “body” needs guidance on foundational movements and proper strength. Thus, I strive to deliver training programs that fit an individual’s needs and movement goals with unwavering support.
