0-1 year
I have been competing in endurance sports for almost a decade. My background is as a swimmer but I now compete mainly in triathlon. This season I was third in the Swedish National Championships at Olympic Distance and third in my Age Group (30-34) at Ironman 70.3 Turkey.
Alongside my role as a coach, I also work as the Head of Research at Pain Free Power – a Bike Fit and Cycling Analysis Lab. I am currently involved in a number of research projects focused on bike positioning and cycling biomechanics.
My coaching philosophy is underpinned by five key principles:
Evidence-based – My approach to coaching is very analytical and scientifically driven. I aim to keep up to date with all of the latest research developments and implement these into my practice
Individualised approach – One size does absolutely not fit all! Every athlete is different and as such so should be the approach (e.g., communication, training load) that you adopt with them.
Technique acquisition – Conditioning and technique work builds strong and efficient athletes. It is thus a key component in all of my athletes' training.
Teamwork makes the dream work – All of my athletes have the benefits of the experienced multidisciplinary team (e.g., bike fitters, physiotherapists) I have working around me.
Fun – Finally, I believe that an athlete should enjoy the 'journey' to their goals not just the destination!
