Brittany has been a runner her entire life and has always had a passion for adventuring. She ran track and cross country in college, later enjoyed running marathons after college and then transitioned to the world of trail running, mountain running and ultramarathons. This is where her running career truly blossomed, with 2nd and 4th place finishes at the Western States Endurance Run, a 3rd overall ranking in the Skyrunner World Series and several other wins and course records to her name. Brittany aims to explore new races throughout the world while focusing on joy and longevity in the sport.
Brittany values the coach-athlete relationship and incorporates her background in teaching with her approach to coaching athletes. The best results come from the coach and the athlete collaborating and sharing feedback with each other to ensure the training is tailored specifically to that athlete, their needs and how they are responding to the training. Brittany prioritizes keeping the training fun, diverse, yet focused and specific. She values individualization and specificity with training and this is key to her coaching philosophy.
Peak Run Performance views training as finding the right combination of stress and rest through a variety of efforts. It is about pushing the threshold between aerobic and anaerobic efforts while adequately recovering between efforts.
