About Sarah

I have raced professionally for 4 years, now riding for Team Movistar. I started racing on the velodrome when I was 8 years old, and juggled track and road until I was 18, when I represented Australia at the Junior Track and Junior Road World Championships. I then focused on road cycling and won the 2019 Australian National Road Race Championship and 2020 and 2021 National Time Trial Championships. I now want to pass on some of my knowledge and experience while continuing my own journey as a pro. My coach has made a huge difference in my life and I'd love to have this impact on other people!

Coaching Philosophy

I strongly believe that even for the most dedicated and ambitious athletes, cycling should be fun and our training programs should be sustainable. Of course, there will always be ups and downs, however we do this sport because we love it, and as a coach, I want to foster and maintain your passion. This also nearly always comes with the benefit of increased performance and being able to continuously strive for your goals. Similarly, I put emphasis on progression and striving to make improvements rather than focusing only on the outcome, which is great to aim for as well but may be affected by variables outside your control. Finally, I think that the coach-athlete relationship is absolutely crucial. Communication and feedback both ways helps the athlete to believe in the process, even when it's difficult, and the coach to ensure the best for the athlete in the short- and long-term.
