About Adam

All-surface runner with a love for trails. I've raced track (e.g., 800m, 3000m steeple), XC, road (1 - 100mi), and trail (5k - 100m). Other endurance sports include: triathlons, orienteering, snowshoe running, adventure racing, road/mtn biking, ice speed skating. I was a good tennis player, but only a mediocre runner; never made top-10 on my HS team. I only found competitive success in my late 30s. 2x LT 100 top-20. 4x Imogene Pass Run top-20. 10x Turq Lake 20mi Snowshoe (PR 3:24). PRs as a master: Marathon 2:53, 46yo; ½-marathon 1:17, 49yo; 10mi 1:03:52, 62yo; 10k 35:19, 47yo.

Coaching Philosophy

I don't know how to coach you, I can't assess your goals, until I get to know you - sports history, strengths/weaknesses, how you respond to training stresses, life realities/stresses, etc.

Coaching is about the relationship - trust, open communication, transparency - more than the Xs& Os.

Standard: I use flexible, not rigidly prescribed training. Things come up. I teach you to make smart decisions in the moment. If running with friends is important, I work that into the program.

Training Advisory services: Your workouts, my advice, on-going or 1-time. Lower cost.
