With a multisport background in road bike and Nordic ski racing, Liam came to competitive running in his mid 20s. The curiosity of a local 50k race lead to some success over progressively longer distances. From fast and flat to high altitude sky and alpine running, Liam has had the privilege of racing and running throughout Europe and the Americas, nabbing some podiums and fast times along the way.
Alpine glamour aside, Liam loves the structure of a training plan and the incremental gains it produces: he (almost always) loves the process.
The three pillars
1) Person first, athlete second.
2) A trusting and honest relationship between coach and athlete.
3) Consistency: Do. The. Work.
Trail running is a fantastic sport. Whether your objective is to finish your first trail race or to run through the night chasing podiums in the Alps, having some guidance can be pivotal. Being a successful mountain and ultra runner is about a lot more than your road splits or indeed your mileage. First of all, what does success even look like to you?
Working with me offers a lot of benefits! From goal setting to calendar planning, from race day nutrition and strategy, to dialing in workouts around your busy life; from going deep into the well, to dialing it back. It’s about enjoying the journey, loving the sport, and, of course, working really damn hard toward your lofty goals!
