I was born in Nairobi Kenya and immigrated to Minnesota at the age of 7. My roots go back to Ethiopia and Turkey where my parents and ancestors are from. My love for athletics comes from a childhood of days full of adventure and playing soccer barefooted with my friends in Nairobi. As far as I can remember: Running has been a form of expression for me and a way to be present, to get physically strong, to challenge myself and to grow spiritually. Running has changed my perspective of life and I’m here to use my experience to help you achieve your running goals.
I believe that running is another form of flying. A way to soar to higher limits and find your true potential, a way to ground yourself to the earth and find purpose. We find power in both aspects of earth and sky which fuels your spirit. I believe this capacity is inherent in all of us. A holistic approach to training is vital to reaching your goals. That’s why I combine science backed practices, athletes’ intuition, and the practice of presence to create a strong mind and body base. We will then build upon that base incrementally with milage build up, diverse strength training and mobility workouts so that you can get stronger, increase your flexibility and, ultimately, your confidence.
