I've been working in D.C. for a little over 8 years, and completed my Masters in Exercise Science at GWU in 2023. I've had a number of different jobs and intimately understand what it's like to balance life and training. I started running seriously about 6 years ago and completed 9 ultramarathons in 5 years, both locally and in Colorado. Running was primary the motivation for my going back to school and starting my coaching journey. My company, Stray Dogs Performance, is a tribute to my weird little rescue dog, Sammy the saluki.
I take a calm, measured, and joyful approach to coaching. There's all the time in the world to meet your goals, and by slowing down we can create a plan that works best for you. Everyone is a little different, and while there are evidence based practices for success, how we apply those practices matters. I will be with you every step of the way, and believe that if you're not having fun, then why are we doing this anyways? All of my programs are based on building up your physical capacity and self belief, which are twin pillars of performance.
Last but not least, I believe in you, and your goals, completely and unconditionally, because that's what coaching is to me.
