About Mario

In 2009, I began running with the goal of improving my health, fitness, and shedding weight. From that point on, I've kept at it, gradually building confidence to run outdoors until I could complete a consistent 4 miles or approximately 6 kilometers without any breaks, starting initially on the treadmill in the hotel gym.I became a personal trainer and running coach in 2013 and the journey has been awesome. I have traveled all my life, lived in 4 countries and currently reside in Australia which will undoubtedly be my forever home. I am Swiss/Australian/South African,and speak a few languages.

Coaching Philosophy

First and foremost I coach HUMANS! No distance is too short or too long. ALL AGES! I have a holistic view:Focusing not only on physical training but also on mental, emotional, and technical aspects of running to help athletes reach their full potential. Long-term Progression: Emphasizing gradual and sustainable improvement over quick fixes, with a focus on long-term athletic development and career longevity. Adaptability: Being flexible and adaptable in training plans to accommodate changes, setbacks, and unforeseen circumstances while maintaining a focus on progress.Injury Prevention: Incorporating strategies and practices to reduce the risk of injuries, including proper warm-ups/cooldowns, strength training, and recovery protocols.Sportsmanship and Ethics: Instilling values of sportsmanship, fair play, integrity, and respect for oneself, teammates, competitors, coaches, and the sport.
