I am a UESCA Certified Running Coach and have a BS in Chemistry from James Madison University. As mentioned in my Bio, I was a sprinter in high school and previously had never ran more than 2 miles at one time before the age of 28. Before running, I had always focused on strength training and it wasn't until during a cutting season that I decided to start running a mile or two in order to assist with a caloric deficit. From there, running became my new addiction and I was able to complete multiple 5Ks, 10Ks, a Half-Marathon and a Full-Marathon within my first year of running!
We are all different and we all have varying strengths and weaknesses. My job as a coach is to work with clients to identify those strengths and weaknesses and tailor them a plan specific to their goals that utilizes their strengths and addresses their weaknesses. Additionally, running is meditative, a safe-haven, and peace. As such, the most important thing for me is that my clients stay safe and healthy while also thoroughly enjoying the process. Competition is fun and a great driver; however, it should never consume the joy and peace that running provides. The reason that I love the sport so much is because it is all about personal growth and an individual being the best version of themselves that they can be!
