About Daniel

I came to endurance sports late. After two decades as a designer in the game industry, I left to do something real. Several certifications, 130+ races, and four half Ironman finishes later, I now help other adults do the same thing I did - build a training life that actually fits and cross finish lines that matter.

I coach everyday adult athletes online, from 5K through marathon. My approach is direct, specific, and built around your life - not an idealized training week. I explain the reasoning, share the tradeoffs, and let athletes participate in decisions.

Coaching Philosophy

Every athlete I work with has already made the decision to change. My job is to give them the structure and the accountability to see it through.

I give away more specific, immediately useful running knowledge for free than most coaches give paying clients. Because athletes who understand the why behind their training become better athletes. That philosophy carries into every coaching relationship - I explain the reasoning, share the tradeoffs, and let athletes participate in decisions. The coach's job is to give the best information. The athlete's job is to choose their path.

I came to endurance sports the same way most of my athletes did - someone who decided to change and needed a real plan to get there. Several certifications, 130+ races, and four half Ironman finishes later, that decision is still the best one I ever made.

Train for the race. Live for the adventure.
