About Rea

I am the owner and coach at KAPE, mountain endurance coaching company funded in 2019 that has been an ongoing passion project for me since. I have worked with athletes in a variety of mountain sports with goals from winning races to completing their first 5k. An athlete myself, I have both the scientific training required to coach effectively and objectively, and personal experiences to understand and empathize with athletes I work with. I race year round; skyrunning, mountain biking, and multisport races in the summer, and World cup circuit in ski mountaineering in the winter.

Coaching Philosophy

At KAPE, we believe the most effective training is the one that keeps you consistent, engaged with the sessions, and excited about the process. We base our programming on scientific principles while keeping individuality of each athlete in mind. Our training plans incorporate sport specific programming, cross-training, resistance training, race preparation and execution, and nutritional and psychological advice.
We believe that open athlete-coach relationships is essential to success and are committed to meeting you where you are. Frequent interactions through coaching platform, phone, and email allow for adjustments on as needed basis as we know that the initial training plan is just a draft, with daily lives determining the final training plan version. We strive to help you realize your athletic potential while never forgetting that the most essential part of training is play.
