I began my running journey as a road runner. Since college, I've competed at the amateur level running distances from 5k to the marathon and qualifying for the Boston marathon. Now, I primarily focus on trail running and compete in ultramarathons from the 50k to 100 mile distance.
I incorporate functional and running-specific strength work into athlete training. A multi-dimensional athlete has a deeper well to draw from in sport and I emphasize work-life balance, flexibility, and cross-training to support an individual's unique needs while encouraging athletes to cultivate values of consistency, resilience, and self-compassion. Depending on your goals and level of fitness, I incorporate two quality workouts per week including a long run, easy runs, some with hill strides or flat strides, running drills, strength training, mobility, and rest days with the option to cross-train.
