I have been running for 7 years, and have completed 45 ultra distances, including 10 one hundred mile races. Besides racing, I am a college administrator and adjunct professor. I have a doctorate in archaeology from Stony Brook University and am studying for my degree in Higher Ed Administration. I live with my wife and three cats on Long Island. I am fortunate to be about a mile from a trail, but I also love long distance road runs. I've completed multiple ultra distance races on asphalt.
Running has changed my life. Although it would be easy to focus in on the physical impacts, like losing 150 pounds or improved endurance, that's not what is really important. Running gave me the chance to find myself and make incredible memories. The people I've met along the way have shown me anyone can do this.
As a coach, my goal is to help runners find their success in the running world. This means different things for different people - a fast finish, better endurance, once in a lifetime destination races, or fun along the way. Identifying your goals and developing an individualized training plan can help you reach the finish lines you want.
