I'm a physician with 25 years of experience in family medicine, sports medicine, and supplement research, a UESCA-certified running coach, and a passionate endurance athlete. My running journey has included triathlons, marathons, and an eight-year break from the sport. Following brain tumor surgery in 2025, I returned to distance running with renewed purpose. That experience deepened my appreciation for the physical and mental challenges of rebuilding fitness, navigating setbacks, and pursuing ambitious goals. I bring both medical insight and personal experience to helping runners thrive.
I believe successful running is built on consistency, adaptability, and a training approach that respects the individual. No two runners have the same physiology, experience, goals, or life circumstances, and their training shouldn't be identical.
My coaching emphasizes evidence-based training, progressive development, injury prevention, and long-term sustainability. I believe in challenging athletes while recognizing that recovery is as important as the work itself.
As both a physician and an athlete who has navigated significant setbacks, I understand that progress is rarely linear. I want runners to feel empowered by their training, not intimidated by it. Whether you're preparing for your first 5K, returning after time away, or chasing a marathon personal best, my goal is to help you become a stronger, more confident, and more resilient runner.
