Running is my thinking time. It is where I clear my head, sort out my day, and sometimes just enjoy being outside in the city. Finishing the marathon was a big moment, but what really stayed with me was the journey there. Training alongside other runners, sharing the hard sessions and the good ones, and learning so much about myself along the way. That is what made me want to coach. I want to help other people find that same feeling and discover what they are capable of.
Running should be something you look forward to, not another thing on your to-do list. When you enjoy it, you keep showing up. And showing up is what gets results.
I know life gets busy. Work, kids, a cold, a terrible week. That is normal, and we will work around it. I would rather you do a bit less than burn out trying to be perfect. But I will also be honest: if you commit, I will hold you to it (kindly!).
The mistakes I see most? Easy runs that are not easy, skipping strength work, and comparing yourself to everyone on Strava. We will work on all three. I mix in strength training and Pilates so your body can actually handle the training.
If something already works for you, we will not change it just for the sake of it.
My hope is that in a few months you will feel stronger, more confident, and more in love with running than when we started.
