5-10 years
I have been running since I was 11 and practicing movement through various exercise my entire life. While my middle/high school careers were atypical due to undiagnosed Lyme + co-infections and related injury, my appreciation for training and honoring has exponentially grown since then. I enjoy running both trails and roads, long and short distances. No workout is unappealing to me so long as it is appropriate.
I have grown to love the process of training myself and others through my learning, and I continue to pursue personal records at all distances.
While much of coaching is scientific and should be evidence-based, coaching is also an art and a two-way street; without ongoing communication on both sides, it is difficult to progress the athlete. I believe in honoring the athlete's wishes while also educating them through the nuance of individualized training as well as the impact that lifestyle, controllable or not, has on their performance.
Progress over perfection, consistency over intensity, stress + rest = growth.
