Although I didn't grow up in a family of athletes, I did spend time backpacking and hiking in the high country of southwest Colorado. From a young age, I enjoyed pushing myself. Whether it was under the weight of a heavy pack on a steep climb or outpacing the boys at XC practice on our hill repeats, I enjoyed the sound of my ragged breathing, the burn in my quads, the silenced mind. Although I chose not to run at the collegiate level, I continued to run for my own enjoyment as I pursued my degree in biology at Colorado State. I found trail running in that time and haven't looked back!
The athlete always comes first. I welcome runners of all abilities, experience levels, and backgrounds. Everyone deserves to feel fully supported! My goal as a running professional is to foster a lifelong love of the sport in my clients.
Every runner has their own set of strengths, weaknesses, obstacles, and goals. As a coach, it's my job to tailor my approach to these individual needs. I prioritize open, consistent, honest communication, as this is the recipe for athlete success!
I'll always strive to provide support founded in current sports science research, yet simultaneously respecting my scope of practice.
Ultimately, my hope is to set my clients up to succeed in the future without my support should they choose to embark on their running journey independently!
